[Rapunzel's journal flickers to life when she opens and activates, and her voice comes through the pages, delivering her message. She's short and to the point.]

[She knows things are...wrong right now. That people aren't who or what they're really supposed to be. Rapunzel can't fix that, but if anyone is injured, that much she might be able to assist with.]

[She finishes wrapping and arranging but doesn't sing just yet.]

Maybe you should talk to her again.

[You've got to be fucking kidding. Girlfriend or not, getting wrapped up in hair is kind of a strange feeling. This is weird shit. Weird, kind of kinky shit.]

We've been talking on and off, although most of the time its about pain and such.

[He tilts his head slightly and raises an eyebrow.]

Now, I need to know why you're so curious about my love life.

[Because she's going to start singing and her hair is going to start glowing.]

I'm not freaking out. [He really isn't! Promise!] Just, uh. Confused. Bemused. Confused and bemused.

[He was about to open his mouth to say more but kept quiet as Rapunzel sang, noticing that her hair was glowing and healing him. Well, that was something new.]

I KNOOOOOW OMFG

[She leans to kiss him, giggling quietly.]

Good. Now...relax.

[So she can sing and allow her hair to glow around you.]

Oh, it's no problem. I can handle him.

[Hey, you learn something new every day, right? As her song finishes and the hair fades back to its normal color, there should be, uh -- definite improvement there, San.

Like, complete improvement.]

[Kiss kiss. He puts on a smile.]

I'm totally relaxed. Really.

[Mostly.]

Uh huh.

[Kloe wanders off over to a table and fusses around with a couple small vials. She eventually hands one over to Rapunzel.]

Give this to him to manage the pain. If he's hungry you're going to have to go down to the kitchen and feed him. He can't move his arms or legs at all.

[She rubs her face.]

...Thanks.

[Right.

So...she pulls in a deep breath, and starts to sing.]

[Well, I can't say he didn't flinch when suddenly Rapunzel's hair started glowing. He watches, awestruck, as the light flows along her hair, down down down until it reaches him. He feels remarkably calm as the light creeps around him, much calmer than he thought he would.

He doesn't speak - he just stares.]

[Of course, but the song did more than heal him. Its lyrics stirred some thoughts and hidden emotions from hiding, things that he would rather not dwell on. The last portion of the song sounded a lot like what Enos said to him before he denied his former mentor that nothing could be changed. Now they were on opposite sides, kill or be killed.

He did not let his expression switch to what he was currently feeling. Instead, he let out a small chuckle and tried flexing his hand.]

Well, that's a bit of an improvement.

[Her voice eventually fades, as does her hair, and Once-ler should be feeling...well. remarkably better.

Rapunzel is another story. She's a little overexerted right now, so she's looking more than a little pale.]

How...how do you feel?

[70ftandcounting]

[When both voice and hair fade, she sits back, looking pale but smiling. There's always a certain amount of peaceful calmness that floods her whenever she uses her power, and despite it tiring her out more than normal, she feels quite serene.]

Good. I'm...I'm glad.

[yolonceler]

What? Uh -

[He can breathe. The Once-ler sucks in a breath and lets his lungs fill with sweet, sweet air. There is no pain. The fact that he can take such a deep breath without breaking into a coughing fit is incredible.

He is so excited to smoke later.]

I... I feel amazing! Just - amazing, no other word can describe it! Oh, man, wow, I...

[Another deep breath.]

Wow.

[But then -]

... You don't look so good, Punzie.

[Don't you DARE, Oncie.]

Feel better?

[She's glad. Really, she is. But she's --

Going to kind of just...crumple right there on his bed, looking startled.]

I'm...tired.

You don't look so good all of the sudden. It takes a toll on you, doesn't it?

[Then again, he's the one that's wrapped up in her hair right now.]

Perhaps it would be a good idea for you to lay down after untangling yourself from me.

It does. [She yawns once, then nods, and starts to pull her hair back.]

I think I will go lay down. [After she helps Oncie, though.]

I'm glad you feel better. [She gives him a faint smile. She doesn't want to know why he was being punished.]

Woah, uh -

[The Once-ler frees himself from her hair and lays down beside her, looking more than a little concerned. Fresh lungs, that's great, but tired girlfriend is more important.]

If I knew the healing thing would tire you out this much, I wouldn't have... I'm sorry. You're okay, right?

I'm sorry to hear about that.

[He made it sound geniune even though he didn't mean it. It was just a sentence for consolance.]
