[Guess who is in the kitchens BAKING ALL THE THINGS?

Yeah. Rapunzel. Everyone she knows -- which means basically everyone in the Keep -- is going to get something from her. Some kind of sugared treat specifically catered to each person, with colors and frosting and all of the above.

Once she's finished with her baking and separating, she'll be distributing.]

((ooc: basically a mingle post for Rapunzel and YOU! If you like, run into her while she's baking, roaming the halls delivering, or while she's delivering your treats to your door. If you think she'd be bringing you something, she is. If you don't think she'd be bringing something, too bad. She's bringing it anyway.]

[Kloe wasn't expecting any guests, so she almost didn't get the door. It took her a few seconds of debate to get up and answer it.

And she isn't too surprised to see Rapunzel, strangely enough. Kloe leans against the doorframe and sips from her bottle of something-alcoholic-but-she-isn't-sure-what-it-is.]

[Oh -- oops. She was intending for this to be a surprise, but. That's okay.]

Ah! Kloe -- here. [Pushing a little basket into her hands.]

[Sandrath found himself wandering the halls again, passing by the same rooms and doors several times before moving down to the next floor. He could have easily remained in his room, working on his chair or socializing over the journals, but he figured he needed to move around.

The fallen arch-angel caught sight of Rapunzel down the hall and he rose an eyebrow at the girl. He recalled that she was infatuated with another from the Valentine's event and had spoken for a bit in the booths. But what was she doing now?]

Still giving your love to that certain someone?

[A smirk crept to his lips. His voice might have startled her, but he didn't care. If anything, it might just amuse him a bit.]

[Sarea's hungry. She's kind of been forgetting to eat the past couple of days, oops. So she's wandering towards the kitchens, not in much of a hurry and lazily shoving her hair from her face.

Except the sweet smells that hit her once she's within two feet of the doors freeze her in her tracks, unsure if she should be salivating or wrinkling her nose. Wolf sneaks closer to the door and pops her head in, looking around warily. She makes no sounds, but the door creaking is more then enough proof that she's there...]

[Tammy had gotten an early start this morning, checking out a couple of things, and had consequently skipped breakfast. And when you are already having trouble with the whole "getting enough to eat" thing, skipping a meal isn't a good idea. It doesn't help that there's a starving djinn pestering her as well.

So she came back in to scrounge up some food, and what did she find?]

And here I thought I was an early riser. What time did you get up to start all of this?

[She’s making deliveries and handing out treats and trying not to think about certain things that still plague her – Valentine’s, disappearances of people important to her (Bartimaeus – oh, how her heart was broken when she found your empty room), her death that she never speaks of. Investing herself and throwing her mind into a task is therapeutic, especially when things weigh so heavily on her small shoulders.
 
Sandrath is actually on her list, so when she sees him, she smiles brightly, though it quickly fades to a wince and a cringe, face flooding with color.]
 
Ahaha…actually…that was just for the day. I think…it was like a curse.
 
[Weak smile, and she offers a pan.]

[Rapunzel is elbow deep in baking when she hears the door creak behind her, and she turns, lifting a brow as she peers.]
 
Hello? Is someone there?

[The task at hand is something Rapunzel seems emotionally invested in. Shaping each item by hand, she dusts with powdered sugar and sprinkles, creating little works of art out of each pastry. She’s been at it for hours, needing a way to keep her hands busy and her mind clear and baking seems to be a good way to go about this.
 
The voice behind her makes her jump, though, and with a squeak she drops the sugar to the floor, creating a mushroom cloud of confectionary goodness and effectively showering them both with sweetness.]
 
Oh! Tammy! I didn’t – hear you, I’m so sorry…
 
[She scrambles to clean it up, and dust her poor friend off.]
 
Um…probably around four?

[Oh god she's been sugar bombed. Tammy promptly sneezes, though she's savvy enough to direct the tickle into the crook of her elbow rather than bring up the whole issue of cleanliness in the kitchen. Still, she laughs a bit as the sugar starts to settle, making sure she's far from the food before dusting a hand through her short, and now grainy, hair. She keeps smiling to alleviate any of Rapunzel's worries, since this is at least half her own fault, and flicks some sugar off of Rapunzel's brow when she gets close and starts fussing over Tammy's clothes. ]

Sorry, I should have knocked. Or said hi. Especially since you were armed.

[Still smiling. She's teasing Rapunzel, don't worry about it--though man, when she spots the sugary powder now adorning parts of that thick braid, her smile slips a bit. That'll be heck to get clean.]

I'll help clean up to make up for it. You've gotta be tired, having gotten up that early and all.

[Rapunzel is very tired, but that just means tonight she’ll collapse into bed from sheer exhaustion and not have nightmares. This is becoming a daily thing, really – work work work and clean whatever she can in order to tire herself out.]
 
Oh, it’s fine Tammy – I promise. I was just startled, I didn’t mean to get it all over you. [She’s doing her best to brush it out of Tammy’s shirt, but she’s just smearing it since her hands are also covered. Eventually she just gives up, and sighs as her hands drop.]
 
You don’t have to do that.

[When you've taken it upon yourself to inspect the majority of the Keep for area mapping needs, you're bound to crave for some sort of delectable.

Especially when you're only twelve.

So, Tetra ended up following certain enticing aromas with her nose to the kitchen to see what all the hubbub was about. Upon arrival, she glanced at the unfamiliar girl equipped with a whole basket full of goodies, not particularly in the mood for requesting yet compelled nonetheless to just snatch one or two.

So she just stands in her spot by the door frame, looking... antsy.]

Hey. You gonna eat all that or what?

[abstinentzombie]

[Don't worry, Kloe is definitely surprised to be receiving something.]

...What is it?

[It smells delicious whatever it is.]

[Tammy catches one of Rapunzel's hands as they drop and gives it a little squeeze, a brief touch meant to reassure the sugar-covered baker.]

It's really not a big deal. It's just sugar, it'll wash out. And I've been told I could stand to have a sweeter disposition.

[She licks a finger free of some of the sugar and smiles.]

Now I'm sweet. So. I'll get the broom--I've made enough messes in here to know where it is.

That wouldn't surprise me.

[It didn't really. His smirk remained there as his gaze turned to the pan full of sweets. He doesn't take one or answer the question.]

You're cooking for the whole Keep?

[The troll is on his way back to his room after some long hours of training when he bumps into Rapunzel. He can't help but notice all those sweets that she's carrying with her. It's not another holiday is it? He really can't handle another one of those right now.]

Got joorself a sweet tooth Sunshine?

[Although that seems way too much for her to eat by herself.]

[Tetsu stops in the doorway, resting one hand on the side of the structure, and takes in the powdery mess that is Rapunzel in baking form. He leans against the doorway with a sigh-resigned to finding the kitchen already occupied and smelling of sugar.]

More sweets?

[With nothing better to do Kid is wondering about the keep as usual. It's by chance that he comes across one of the few people he actually knows by name, and she's right outside his room too with a basket of sweets no less. Wonder who that's for.

Without saying a word he moves beside her.]

Do you need some help?

[Oops, busted. Wolf steps fully into the kitchen, glancing around awkwardly.]

Um, hi. Rapunzel, right? Sorry, didn't mean to interrupt you. Um. What'cha doin?

[Please ignore her nose twitching, Rapunzel, it's something she can't really help.]

Pastries! Try one.

[She smiles, and hands over a basket.]

They're for you, after all.

Not cooking, exactly.

[She shakes the pan in her hands.]

Baking! It keeps my hands busy. [Smile.] I promise they're not going to bite.

Oh, it's fine! Come on in.

[Not like it's her kitchen or anything.]

Baking. I'm putting together little gift baskets for everyone in the Keep. Just as a bit of a pick me up. It has seemed so quiet here lately...

[She's relieved with the squeeze -- honestly, had it been someone like her mother? She would have most certainly gotten an earful about her clumsiness and overall lack of poise.

Still, she reaches to mimic Tammy, tracing a finger across Tammy's hand to give it a taste.]

You sure are!

[And -- Okay, Rapunzel giggles a little at it all, and nods.]

All right. You do that, and I'll finish these, get them in the oven, and do the dishes?

[Rapunzel -- startles, because she wasn't really expecting any visitors while she was working, but turns and laughs, shaking her head.]

Not at all -- would you like some?

That's what I meant.

[He shifts his gaze up to her, still smirking a bit.]

Unless you have the ability to make pastries come to life?

[It was in a teasing tone as hee finally takes the truffle with a small thanks and glances over the food item. There might have been a flicker of black across both his eyes.]

[She just laughs when she stumbles across Kevas, and she shakes her head.]

No, no -- I made little baskets for people. One is yours, right here on top.

[She hefts her pile.]
