But now...

Now she remembered.

And she wished that she didn't.]

[That's all she says and then the book is slammed shut. She's out in the orchard, sitting under a tree with her head in her hands, quietly crying.]

And she's a little broken right now. Zombies, getting sick, hallucinating, excruciating pain, dying alone and abandoned and cold in a hallway...

[Look, Logan doesn't know what to do with a hysterical teenager. Calm it down, Rapunzel. To help with this, Logan decides to change the subject.]

[That...helps, actually. It makes her feel safe and secure - way more so than her mother ever did, if she was going to be perfectly honest with herself.

She flung her arms around him and buried her head into his shoulder, letting the tears come.]

It's...it's Rapunzel. [She stared up at him with watery but curious eyes.]

[Her knees are drawn up to her chest and her forehead is resting lightly on her knees. Her tears are quiet, for the most part - but she can't help it. Her death - while not as traumatic as others - had not been pleasant.]

[He doesn't know what did this to her but he doesn't particularly care. All that matters to him right now is making her feel better.

Kevas runs a hand through her hair making soft hushing noises to help calm her.]

[And she misses it and her mother and her eyes well up again because now she's thinking about her mother and Flynn and everything back home.]

[She'll eventually calm down and be able to tell him exactly what is the matter with her, but currently Rapunzel can't stop the waterworks long enough to form a coherent sentence that Kevas would actually be able to make any sense out of.

Instead she just keeps her head buried, and quietly cries for the next few minutes, until she's entirely spent of tears.]
